Pink sapphire ring. 18k. Amelie

This is Amelie.

Amelie has a frosty translucent light berry pink sapphire. Sometimes it looks a little lighter and other times it's a soft berry pink. Her stone is hand cut and some of the facets are a little uneven. The fourth photo was taken outside in the natural sunlight. The last photo on my hand was taken inside near a window on a cloudy day. I made Amelie out of a clay like wax to give her an earthy feel. Her rose cut sapphire measures about 6.85mm, weighs 1.6cts. and her band is about 1.5 - 1.6mm. I cast her in 18k gold and gave her a rustic matte finish, it has some texture and may look a little shimmery in the light. Amelie was made as a stacking ring.

I select each stone individually, some may have tiny imperfections but they are so sweet and lovely to me, it reminds me of the journey they've been through.
