A bark wedding band. 18k. Franca

This is Franca.

Franca is an earthy gold band with an uneven wood bark texture. I made her out of a clay like wax to give her a natural feel. Although she is quite simple, I chose to make her out of wax and cast her in 18k gold using the lost wax method. I love the subtle softness that the wax forms which is difficult for me to achieve using gold wire. Franca is about 1.5 - 1.6mm wide and about 1.1 - 1.25mm thick. I gave her a matte finish.
